I’m still recovering from my cold earlier this week, so I’ve been happy that the weather has been on the warm side here in NYC. As much as I love layering for cooler weather, it’s nice to simply throw on two pieces that make a good outfit, rather than four (or more.)
If you saw my Old Navy Haul then you know exactly where this outfit came from. I’m a huge fan of the maxi skirt. It’s comfortable, fashionable and oh, did I mention comfortable? Starting with the plain gray skirt I wanted to add a pop of interest with the top, so it was either pattern or color. I chose pattern. It took some time in front of the mirror to decide to tuck or not to tuck. Tucking ultimately won because of the detail on the skirt band. My neck looked too bare, so a statement necklace filled the gap nicely. When it came to shoes I knew they would most likely show while walking or sitting so I wanted to wear something fun. My studded boots matched, but were unexpected. A standard silver and dark gray arm party, sunglasses and my simple Coach bag finished the ensemble.
